Baba Husky Oy in Rovaniemi is hiring an experienced Husky Safari Guide for the winter season 2026/2027. This role involves guiding safaris, preparing dog teams, and providing safety briefings to guests. Successful candidates will be responsible, reliable, and possess a good physical condition, alongside experience working with sled dogs. They will work in the stunning Arctic landscape and be part of a friendly team, with salary based on experience and assistance in finding accommodation offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working with sled dogs or husky safaris is essential.
• Must be fluent in English and possess a valid driving license.
• Good physical fitness and a responsible, reliable attitude are required.

Responsibilities

• Guiding husky safaris for guests.
• Preparing and handling dog teams effectively.
• Providing safety briefings to guests before safaris.
• Performing daily maintenance and care for the kennel and dogs.

Skills

Confident handling of dog teams

Fluent English

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Husky Safari Guide to join our team for the winter season.

Requirements

• Experience working with sled dogs / husky safaris
• Confident handling of dog teams
• Fluent English (required)
• Valid driving license
• Good physical condition
• Responsible, reliable, and team-oriented attitude

Considered an advantage

• Additional languages (Spanish, French, Italian, German, etc.)
• Experience in tourism and customer service
• Experience with puppies and kennel work

Main responsibilities (winter season)

• Guiding husky safaris
• Preparing and handling dog teams
• Providing safety briefings to guests
• Daily kennel maintenance and dog care
