Job summary

Lapland Husky Safaris Saariselkä is hiring sled dog guides for the winter season 2026–2027. The kennel, part of Finland’s biggest sled dog enterprise, operates near Saariselkä and serves mostly international travelers. Responsibilities include kennel work, guiding safaris, and ensuring dog welfare in a demanding outdoor environment.

The role demands good physical condition, a flexible attitude, and the ability to work weekends. A class B driver’s license and snowmobile experience are assets.

Qualifications

• Good physical condition and the ability to tolerate demanding winter work.
• Brisk attitude with flexibility for changing conditions.
• Knowledge of English is an advantage for international guests.

Responsibilities

• Care for the dogs and kennel daily routines.
• Guide safaris and assist with route maintenance.
• Provide customer service at the kennel and in terrain during safaris.
• Assist with general tasks and ensure safety during sledding activities.
