Job summary

Strawberry is seeking a Head Waiter/Shift Leader for the Social Bar & Bistro at Clarion Hotel Aviapolis in Vantaa, Finland. This permanent role covers varied shifts (afternoons, evenings, weekends) with a focus on delivering unforgettable guest experiences and leading the team to high standards.

The candidate will coordinate service, train staff, liaise with the kitchen, and ensure all duties are carried out efficiently while maintaining guest satisfaction.

Ready to create unforgettable guest experiences? Clarion Hotel Aviapolis is in search of a talented and enthusiastic Head Waiter/Shift Leader to join and lead our dynamic Social Bar & Bistro team. We are looking for someone who excels in customer service, has a passion for food and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.

What You'll Do

• Coordinating and leading your team.
• Train new staff, assigning duties and addressing any issues arising during service.
• You’re the primary point of contact both towards our guests; greeting and seating, presenting menus, taking orders and ensuring special requests or dietary needs and towards our kitchen; together with the kitchen staff coordinate the service.
• You ensure that all areas are stocked, no tasks are left unfinished, and stay informed about upcoming events and plans for the week.
• You have full, proactive control of the shift, anticipating needs, addressing issues immediately, and keeping the operation running smoothly without waiting for instructions.
• Focus on achieving results and goals. Set relevant objectives and consistently strive to meet or exceed expectations.

This is a permanent position of 60h/3weeks starting as soon as possible. The position requires working varied shifts, including afternoons, evenings and weekends.
