Job summary

RELEX Solutions is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead the team building RELEX Cortex and the agent-first platform. You will drive production readiness, security, and architectural direction while scaling the engineering organization to support rapid growth.

The role reports to the VP of Platform Engineering and offers ownership of strategy, hiring, and budget in a flat, fast-moving, globally distributed company with offices in Helsinki and Stockholm.

Qualifications

• Owned technical and delivery strategy for a product area.
• Run systems with multi-tenancy, security, and operability at scale.
• Hired and grew engineers, set ways of working and culture.
• Comfort with ambiguity as scope and priorities shift.
• Passion for RELEX's AI-native direction and using AI as default workflow.
• Strong English communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Own security, isolation, and production readiness.
• Build and lead the team and define how an agent-first team operates.
• Oversee end-to-end engineering: code review, QA, release, monitoring, incident response, SDLC standards.
• Own platform boundaries and shared capabilities for other teams.
• Shape technical strategy, hiring, team structure, and budget.
