Job summary

Valona Intelligence in Helsinki invites an experienced Finance Leader to own group reporting and consolidation, ensuring IFRS compliance and a smooth monthly close. You will advise on complex accounting matters and lead a small team to implement automated processes.

You will collaborate with the CFO, oversee payments and external partners, and contribute to AI-driven improvements across the finance function. Fluency in Finnish and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in group reporting and consolidation with IFRS knowledge.
• A practical approach to process improvement and an interest in automation/AI tools.
• Experience in or readiness for leading a small team.
• Flexible hands-on working style in a finance function still taking shape.
• Fluent Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

• Group reporting and financial statements: ensure quality and sign-off of group consolidation; steer monthly close; coordinate journal entries; serve as primary contact for auditors; prepare audit materials.
• IFRS and technical accounting: support revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, impairments; advise CFO on complex matters.
• Payments and partners: own group payment processes; manage relationships with outsourced accounting partners.
• Team leadership: lead and coach a two-person finance team and promote consistent processes.
