Job summary

Agoda is seeking a senior leader to own the global tax platform, shaping strategy, roadmap, and execution across indirect tax for all business lines. You will manage a team of senior product managers and partner with Group Tax to translate regulatory and business requirements into product outcomes.

Based in Bangkok with hybrid work, you will drive multi‑year transformation, balance buy‑vs‑build decisions, and collaborate with engineering to ensure scalable, reliable tax systems across regions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management or similar roles; senior leadership experience.
• Proven track record building or transforming in‑house tax platforms at large‑scale digital businesses.
• Deep command of indirect tax for digital businesses (VAT/GST, marketplace regimes, withholding tax).
• Hands‑on experience across core tax platform stack: master data, rules, determination, invoicing, reconciliation, reporting controls.

Responsibilities

• Own vision, strategy, and roadmap for Agoda’s global tax platform across tax master data, determination, invoicing/e‑invoicing, reconciliation, reporting, and controls.
• Partner with Group Tax to translate regulatory, audit, and business requirements into clear product outcomes.
• Lead product teams on multi‑year transformation initiatives to support multiple products, business models, and brands.
• Make buy‑vs‑build decisions for tax engines and e‑invoicing providers; own long‑term integration strategy.
• Work with engineering to shape architecture, prioritize investments, and ensure platform reliability at scale.
• Design governance for tax configuration and change management; drive measurable outcomes to senior leadership.
