Job summary

Sandvik is seeking a Manager, Applications and Platform Software to lead a global team responsible for equipment, digital tool and platform software across sites in Tampere, Lyon, Winnipeg and Jinan. The role requires a software engineering degree and at least five years in a SW development management position.

You will shape architectures, drive process improvements, and coordinate resourcing to align with division priorities while upholding Sandvik core values.

Qualifications

• Suitable degree in software engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in SW development manager position.
• Good understanding of SW architecture and commonly used languages: QT, Web, C++, MATLAB Simulink.
• Demonstrated skills in developing SW development processes and tools.
• You are a team player, curious and continuously drive for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead global team for equipment, digital tool and platform software development.
• Ensure software deliveries across Tampere, Lyon, Winnipeg and Jinan.
• Develop and optimize SW development processes and tools.
• Allocate resources and build insourcing/partnering strategies to meet division priorities.
