Job summary

Tuxera Oy in Espoo, Finland, is seeking an IT Director who will own IT and security for the entire company, enabling safe AI use while managing risk and governance across global sites.

You will set the IT strategy, govern MSP partners, and build the IT and security roadmap with clear owners, budgets and milestones.

The role reports to the CFO, requires 7+ years in IT/security, and includes travel to international sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as an IT Director or equivalent in a software company.
• 7+ years in IT and security, end-to-end ownership.
• Experience managing IT service providers and contractors.
• Experience supporting developer environments: source control, CI/CD, build tooling.
• Broad technical judgment across infrastructure, security and systems.

Responsibilities

• Turn engineering and business needs into IT priorities.
• Choose and manage partners: contracts, SLAs, performance.
• Build IT and security roadmaps with owners, budgets and milestones.
• Decide which AI tools to use and govern data handling and access.
• Help teams leverage AI tools in developer workflows.
• Design automations to reduce manual IT work (on/offboarding, tickets).
• Lead SOC operations: incident response, vulnerabilities, training.
• Own risk register, ISMS, backups and recovery; pursue ISO 27001.
