Job summary

Normet Group is seeking a Global Demand & Inventory Planning Manager to lead global demand planning, S&OP and Inventory Management, driving forecast accuracy and optimal stock levels across regions. The role combines people leadership, process development and systems ownership, collaborating with Sales, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Finance and IT, based primarily in Espoo or Pirkkala, Finland.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in demand forecasting and planning with hands-on experience in designing, implementing and optimizing related processes.
• Proven track record in inventory optimization and replenishment strategies.
• Extensive experience in global spare parts distribution and multi-location inventories across international operations.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of ERP (e.g. D365)
• Experience developing planning parameters, business rules, and system architecture
• Strong people leadership and coaching skills
• Proven ability to lead through influence in a matrix and global environment, with excellent stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Own, implement and manage the global Demand Planning, S&OP and Inventory Management processes.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve forecasting methodologies, inventory planning practices, and replenishment processes.
• Drive improvements in forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory performance, and planning efficiency.
• Design and optimize inventory network, stock policies, safety stock settings, and replenishment logic to balance customer service, working capital, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain statistical forecasting models and scenario planning capabilities to support business decision making.
• Act as the global architect and owner of Demand Planning systems, tools, and technical planning environment.
• Ensure planning systems are fit for purpose, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business requirements. Evaluate, recommend, and implement forecasting and planning tools/software.
• Develop and optimize ERP planning functionality, parameters, master data governance, and planning rules.
• Lead automation and digitalization of Demand Planning and Inventory Management processes.
• Coordinate and influence Regional Demand planning network, driving alignment, best practice sharing, and capability development.
• Facilitate cross-functional planning reviews and support business decision making through data-driven insights and recommendations
