Job summary

Rosendahl Nextrom Oy is seeking an Automation SW Engineer to design and commission Siemens-based automation software from design through international site deployments. You will work on TIA Portal, S7-1500, HMI/SCADA, and integration with PROFINET networks.

The role involves office design work and hands-on testing at customer sites worldwide, with 20–80% travel. Fluency in English is required; Finnish is a plus. A technical automation degree is expected, and a Finland work permit is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens S7-1500 and TIA Portal.
• Experience with WinCC or Siemens HMI/SCADA (AVEVA).
• Understanding of PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and OPC UA.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, I/O lists, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation software solutions using Siemens TIA Portal.
• Execute international customer commissioning and after-sales service work.
• Commission Siemens S7-1500 and HMI/SCADA systems.
• Perform I/O checks and field-device testing during system startup.
• Validate safety functions, control sequences, interlocks, and alarms.
• Troubleshoot PLC/HMI software, electrical signals, and networks.
• Document software changes, backups, test results, and progress.
