Job summary

Roche Pharma Finland is seeking a Finance Enterprise Partner to act as a strategic thought partner, advisor and consultant to the business. You will bridge financial data and strategy, support resource allocation, and drive compliant, efficient financial operations across the affiliate.

The role requires a university finance degree with 5+ years in finance partnering or controlling, SAP experience, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance Business Partnering, Controlling or similar strategic finance role.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP highly preferred.
• Fluent in English; Finnish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Partnering and Performance: Support local business planning, budgeting and forecasting with the Baltics team; guide resource allocation and monitor affiliate operating expenses; provide insights through performance reporting and dashboards.
• Local Stewardship, Governance & Operational Excellence: Ensure compliance and internal controls; oversee local financial tasks including payment approvals and reporting; act as primary local contact for authorities; lead tax compliance and automate finance processes.
• Cluster & Regional Collaboration: Promote collaboration within the Finland affiliate; contribute to cross-functional projects; participate in above-country squads to leverage network effects.

The Position At Roche Pharma Finland, we are looking for a Finance Enterprise Partner (FEP), who will serve as a strategic thought partner, advisor, and consultant to the business. You will ensure financial excellence and compliance in our daily operations while guiding decision-making on resource allocation. Your role is to bridge the gap between financial data and actionable strategy, ensuring that prioritized business areas receive the support necessary to deliver outstanding value to patients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Partnering and Performance
   • Support the local business planning, budgeting and forecasting in close collaboration with wider Baltics team.
   • Guide strategic resource allocation decisions and oversee the financial performance of the affiliate’s operating expenses.
   • Provide relevant insights and recommendations through regular performance reporting and dashboards to facilitate decision-making.
2. Local Stewardship, Governance & Operational Excellence
   • Act as a guardian for high standards of compliance, ethics, and Roche's Code of Conduct while maintaining robust internal control standards.
   • Oversee essential local financial tasks including payment approvals, local reporting and others as required.
   • Serve as primary local contact for local government authorities.
   • Lead local tax compliance, including alignment of global requirement to local regulation (for example: impact calculations for co-payment schemes; dividend payment support; and preparation for statutory audits).
   • Identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and efficiency gains in finance processes and systems.
   • Support the organizational transition to updated ERP systems.
3. Cluster & Regional Collaboration
   • Act as a role model for collaboration within the Finland affliate, ensuring a unified approach to financial challenges and opportunities.
   • Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects and initiatives as business needs evolve within the Baltics and the wider region.
   • As part of the broader Finance community, participate in above-country squads to leverage network effects and achieve desired outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

• University degree (Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance Business Partnering, Controlling or a similar strategic finance role. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP highly preferred.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken), Finnish is a plus
