Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and repair molecular diagnostic systems across Finland and occasionally in other Nordic countries. The role requires strong problem-solving, customer-first mindset, and fluency in Finnish plus good English.

You will travel within Finland, manage your own tools and spare parts, and collaborate with support and commercial teams to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in a technical discipline (engineering, electronics, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
• Good English communication skills in addition to fluent Finnish.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, hardware/software upgrades, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot technical issues by phone and on-site, ensuring timely resolution.
• Provide hands-on support and training for software and hardware upgrades.
• Collaborate with Application Support Specialists and Commercial teams to deliver customer service.
• Manage tools and spare parts inventory according to Abbott standards.
• Represent Abbott professionally and maintain strong customer relationships.

What You’ll Bring

• A diploma or degree in a technical discipline (engineering, electronics, or similar).

• Willingness to travel within Finland
• Up to 5 years of experience in a technical role—or a strong motivation to learn if you’re a recent graduate.
