Job summary

TSL is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to support large-scale construction and data centre projects in Finland. You will lead safety, risk management and compliance activities across projects, working with project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to drive a proactive safety culture.

This role sits at the centre of project delivery, risk management and safety leadership, ensuring work is delivered safely and in line with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Proactive safety professionals with strong communication skills and practical construction experience.
• Fluent Finnish and English are highly desirable.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS policies and systems across projects.
• Ensure compliance with Finnish construction regulations and company requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety walks.
• Review risk assessments, method statements and permit-to-work processes.
• Monitor contractor EHS performance and support corrective actions.

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced EHS Manager to support the delivery of large-scale construction and data centre projects in Finland.

This role sits at the centre of project delivery, risk management and safety leadership — ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with both company and regulatory requirements.

You’ll work closely with project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to drive a proactive safety culture, support compliance activities and contribute to the successful delivery of technically complex projects.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS policies, procedures and management systems across projects
• Ensuring compliance with Finnish construction regulations, industry standards and company requirements
• Conducting regular site inspections, audits and safety walks
• Reviewing Risk Assessments, Method Statements and permit-to-work processes
• Monitoring contractor EHS performance and supporting corrective and preventive actions
• Supporting incident investigations, reporting activities and root cause analysis
• Preparing and maintaining EHS documentation, records and project reports
• Working closely with project, commercial, procurement and delivery teams on EHS-related matters
• Delivering toolbox talks, safety briefings and supporting EHS training initiatives
• Promoting a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement across site teams

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for proactive safety professionals with strong communication skills, practical construction experience and a passion for creating safe working environments.

You should be comfortable working closely with project teams and contractors, supporting compliance activities and managing EHS requirements within fast-paced project environments.

This role would suit someone with experience in data centres, mission critical, industrial or large-scale construction projects.

What helps

• Degree or qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in an EHS, HSE or Health & Safety role within construction, infrastructure or industrial projects
• Good understanding of Finnish health and safety legislation and industry standards
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and risk assessments
• Familiarity with contractor management and permit-to-work systems
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and reporting skills
• Ability to influence and engage teams at all levels of a project
• Relevant health and safety certifications are advantageous
• Fluent Finnish and English are highly desirable
