Job summary

SolFX is seeking a Project Manager to lead rooftop solar delivery for machinery and equipment-manufacturing sites. You will organise interfaces between engineering, procurement, contractors and operating factories to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.

The role benefits from extensive management experience, and requires you to reside in Finland. You will report on scope, milestones and risk, coordinating cross-functional teams across site locations.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of management experience.
• Must reside in Finland.
• Experience in project or programme management is required; not necessarily 10 years of direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Establish project scope, schedules, budgets, and responsibilities.
• Confirm customer needs before mobilisation.
• Coordinate design releases, procurement milestones, and contractor activities.
• Plan works around production restrictions and facility access.
• Assess changes, handle technical queries and maintain risk records.
• Monitor progress and address quality or coordination issues promptly.
• Organise completion checks, commissioning records and handover to customer.

• Candidates without management experience, or with fewer than 10 years of management experience, will not be considered.
• Accountable project or programme management is accepted; the requirement does not mean 10 years of direct employee supervision.

This position focuses on rooftop solar delivery for machinery and equipment-manufacturing sites. The project manager will organise the interfaces between engineering, procurement, contractors and operating factories.

Experience gained in other industries is welcome, provided you demonstrate the management responsibility and technical competence necessary to coordinate solar and electrical works.

Project responsibilities

• Confirm customer requirements and information needed before mobilisation.
• Coordinate design releases, procurement milestones and contractor activities.
• Plan works around production restrictions and facility access.
• Assess changes, manage technical queries and maintain delivery-risk records.

• Organise completion checks, commissioning records and customer handover.

Relationships with Finnish contractors, engineering specialists and industrial facility teams are useful. An existing local network is not mandatory for applicants who satisfy the management and professional requirements.

Languages:

Finnish and English for site coordination, stakeholder communication and project reporting.
