Job summary

Clear. is seeking an experienced Project Director to drive major hyperscale data centre developments in Finland. This senior leadership role oversees design through to handover, coordinating cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to achieve on-time, on-budget delivery.

The successful candidate will manage budgets, schedules and risk, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance while delivering mission-critical infrastructure at scale in the Nordic market.

Job description

A leading international developer and operator of digital infrastructure is seeking an experienced Project Director to take ownership of major hyperscale Data Centre developments in Finland.

The organisation has an extensive portfolio of large-scale Data Centre projects across the region, with significant investment in the development of next-generation digital infrastructure. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced construction professional with a proven track record delivering complex, mission-critical projects from initial design and pre-construction through to construction, commissioning and final handover.

The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for project delivery, leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating contractors, consultants and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery of large-scale hyperscale Data Centre projects in Finland.
• Lead project delivery from design and pre-construction through procurement, construction, commissioning and final handover.
• Provide strategic leadership across all project disciplines, including CSA, MEP, engineering, commercial, planning and commissioning.
• Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including Project Managers, Construction Managers, engineers and specialist consultants.
• Oversee the performance and delivery of main contractors, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Drive project programmes, ensuring key milestones and delivery targets are achieved.
• Take responsibility for project budgets, CAPEX, cost forecasting, commercial performance and change management.
• Manage contractual matters, variations, procurement strategies and commercial risks.
• Ensure effective coordination between CSA, MEP and wider engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project risk management, identifying potential challenges and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, clients, contractors, consultants and local authorities.
• Oversee commissioning, integrated systems testing, operational readiness and final project handover.
• Provide regular project updates and reporting to senior leadership, highlighting progress, risks, programme and commercial performance.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure best-practice project delivery standards across the organisation.
• Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience delivering large-scale construction or infrastructure projects in a senior Project Management / Project Director capacity.
• Proven track record of end-to-end project delivery within the Data Centre or Mission Critical sector.
• Experience leading complex, multidisciplinary projects involving CSA and MEP packages.
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from design and pre-construction through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Demonstrable experience managing large project teams, contractors, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Strong commercial and financial management capabilities, including budget control, forecasting and contract management.
• Excellent understanding of construction programmes, risk management, quality and Health & Safety.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within the Nordic construction market, particularly Finland.
• Strong CSA package management and leadership experience.
• Experience managing projects involving complex MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Experience delivering high-value, technically complex construction projects.
