Job summary

Enersense Engineering Oy is seeking an Engineering Lead in Helsinki to drive multidisciplinary engineering activities on a large brownfield tank renewal project. You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful progress and delivery from feasibility through execution.

The role requires leading engineering teams across civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, automation and process engineering, with a focus on planning, coordination and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Experience in large-scale brownfield industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering and local regulations.
• Experience in engineering planning, management, and front-end phases.
• Site experience with tanks, pumps, piping and valves.
• Excellent technical problem-solving, leadership and coordination skills.
• English language skills.

Job description

Enersense Engineering is currently looking for an Engineering Lead for its client in Helsinki, Finland. The position is due to start as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a large-scale brownfield tank renewal project from the feasibility phase through implementation and execution.

As an Engineering Lead, you will work closely with the Project Manager and be responsible for leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities, ensuring the successful progress and delivery of the project.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Take overall responsibility for coordinating the projects engineering activities in close cooperation with the Project Manager
• Lead and coordinate activities across multiple engineering disciplines, including civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, automation and process engineering
• Define the project scope, objectives, deliverables, engineering plans and schedules
• Plan engineering resources in cooperation with the relevant engineering disciplines
• Lead the engineering team and allocate tasks and responsibilities
• Support concept development during the pre-engineering phase
• Work closely with the site organization to ensure smooth execution and resolve coordination challenges between different engineering disciplines
• Coordinate engineering related to tanks, pumps, piping, valves and associated process equipment
• Manage engineering documentation and report on project progress
• Ensure that engineering work complies with industry standards, regulatory requirements and other applicable regulations

Requirements:

• Relevant Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering
• Experience in large-scale industrial engineering projects, particularly brownfield projects
• Good understanding of engineering processes, multidisciplinary engineering and local regulations
• Experience in engineering planning, engineering management, front-end/pre-engineering phases and supporting project execution
• Site experience and knowledge of tanks, pumps, piping and valves
• Excellent technical problem-solving, communication, leadership and coordination skills
• Experience leading engineering teams and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure
• English language skills
