Accommodations Plus International is hiring an Engineering Director to lead 10–20 engineers across multiple regions. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic oversight, setting direction and elevating engineering standards.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and ensure delivery against the product roadmap. You will partner with product and business leaders to translate strategy into technical roadmaps, improve velocity, and foster excellence in code

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of software development experience with 3+ years leading a team.
• Deep technical background in Java and Angular (or React/Vue).
• Relational databases (Oracle, Postgres) and NoSQL experience.
• Production AWS experience across compute, networking, and data services.
• Experience using AI tools in the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of 10–20 engineers across North America and India, fostering a high-performance culture across time zones.
• Own architecture and system design across the stack and drive delivery of complex distributed systems on AWS.
• Partner with product and business leaders to translate strategy into technical roadmaps; align across teams.
• Drive delivery against product and platform roadmaps; improve velocity through process and tooling.
• Raise the bar on code quality, testing, observability, and incident response; leverage AI tools.
