Job summary

Mehiläinen is hiring a Lead Platform Engineer to design and build a Group cloud foundation from scratch, serving engineering teams across seven countries. You will own the platform as a product with a focus on reliability, security, and regulatory compliance, including AI-driven development governance and multi-cloud strategy.

The role requires hands-on cloud architecture, strong leadership, and ability to translate business requirements into scalable platform capabilities while mentoring teams

Qualifications

Extensive software platform experience with a focus on cloud infra.
Hands-on experience building cloud environments on Azure and/or GCP.
Proficiency in IaC, Terraform/OpenTofu modules and reusable patterns.
Strong knowledge of modern architectures, container orchestration, and CI/CD at scale.

Responsibilities

Own the Group cloud platform as a product across domains.
Define and drive the platform roadmap and technical standards.
Lead IaC, CI/CD, and security/compliance practices at scale.
Mentor engineers and align stakeholders with technical decisions.
