Job summary

ewi Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Package Manager to join a large-scale data centre project in Vaasa. You will lead the full lifecycle of the electrical package—from design coordination to commissioning—while ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

You will oversee subcontractors, manage project costs, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders to deliver the package on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar discipline.
• 7+ years' experience within the electrical construction sector.
• Experience in scheduling, sequencing, and programme management.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and drive project delivery.
• Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Electrical Systems package from design coordination to installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Oversee site safety in conjunction with Project Manager and Safety Advisor, including safety file setup and close-out.
• Promote and maintain a strong QHSE culture within the team.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, consulting engineers, and client to manage project schedule and timely delivery.
• Manage all costs associated with the electrical package, including teams, subcontractors, materials, and variations.

Overview

Our client who is a dedicated data centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions to clients They specialise in providing turnkey data centre solutions, providing services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services as well as commissioning.

They have grown to become the leading and most trusted company in our sector and the only dedicated data centre delivery partner in Europe.

They are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects in 7 different European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load in flight.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Package Manager to join the team on a large-scale data centre project in Vaasa. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of the electrical package, from design coordination and procurement through to installation, testing, and commissioning. They will oversee subcontractors and site teams, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and work closely with clients and project stakeholders to deliver the package on time, within budget, and to the highest standards

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Electrical Systems package from design coordination to installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Oversee site safety in conjunction with the Project Manager and the Engineering & Contracting Safety Advisor, including setup, management, and close-out of the safety file as part of the management team.
• Promote and maintain a strong Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) culture within your team.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, consulting engineers, and the client to manage the project schedule and ensure timely delivery.
• Manage all costs associated with the electrical package, including:
• Engineering & Contracting Electrical Team, Subcontractors, Material deliveries and goods receipting, Plant and equipment. Variations and valuations
• Oversee all day-to-day site operations, ensuring policies and procedures are followed closely.
• Supervise subcontractor activities, tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
• Maintain and manage the client's Engineering & Contracting "In Progress" snagging system, ensuring supervisors submit weekly punch lists and distributing all snags to relevant subcontractors.

Required Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar discipline
• Minimum 7 years' experience within the electrical construction sector
• Strong background managing Electrical packages on large-scale construction projects
• Experience in scheduling, sequencing, and programme management
• Excellent organisational, communication, and coordination skills
• Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, installation methodologies, and site operations
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and drive project delivery
• Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous.
