Job summary

ewi is seeking an Electrical Lead to design, organise, and control all electrical project delivery for turnkey data centre developments. The role is based on-site in Helsinki, Finland, reporting to the Project Director, and involves coordinating design activities, supervising multiple teams, and driving productivity while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and resources, engage with clients and subcontractors, and lead weekly meetings with stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years experience managing large-scale Electrical projects such as commercial offices, retail, hotels, schools, or data centres.
  • Data Centre project experience is highly desirable.
  • Engineering qualification preferred, with recent experience in managing major electrical contracts.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and teams in a dynamic project environment.

Responsibilities

  • Take a leading role in driving productivity through effective weekly and daily work plans.
  • Coordinate electrical design activities with internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Supervise and monitor the progress of ongoing works, ensuring adherence to schedule and quality standards.
  • Maintain high standards of Quality and Safety, ensuring all procedures are implemented and monitored effectively.
  • Monitor and manage labour tracking sheets and resource allocation.
  • Oversee and coordinate the full Electrical installation across the project.
  • Engage with project stakeholders, including clients, to ensure clear communication and alignment on goals.
  • Liaise with design teams and subcontractors to ensure project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, including supervisors and foremen.
  • Work proactively with foremen to ensure people, materials, information, and equipment are in place to support safe and productive work.
  • Coordinate activities with other subcontractors operating in shared work areas to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient progress.
  • Review and sign off on project documentation and weekly foremen reports, ensuring all issues are tracked and closed out promptly.
  • Lead weekly project meetings with key stakeholders, including foremen, Safety Advisor, QA Engineer, and BIM teams.
  • Ensure meeting actions are recorded, assigned, and closed out before the next meeting.
  • Maintain accurate minutes of meetings with clear action ownership.
  • Prepare comprehensive weekly reports including: Incident/Accident reports, Schedule updates (Planned vs. Actual), 4-6 week labour lookahead, Industrial relations issues, 2-4 week material procurement forecast, Weekly variation log, Notification of delays, disruptions, or risks to planned activities.

Our client who is a dedicated data centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions to clients They specialise in providing turnkey data centre solutions, providing services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services as well as commissioning.


They have grown to become the leading and most trusted company in our sector and the only dedicated data centre delivery partner in Europe.


They are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects in 7 different European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load in flight.


We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Lead to join the team.


In this role, you will be responsible for designing, organising, leading, coordinating, and controlling all aspects of Electrical project delivery, ensuring quality, safety, and performance standards are consistently met. This position will be based on-site in Helsinki, Finland.

Key Responsibilities:
