Job summary

Vestas Finland Oy in Alajärvi is seeking an electrician to join our wind turbine maintenance team. You will perform routine maintenance under service contracts, inspect components, troubleshoot faults, and monitor remote systems as part of a growing international company.

Fluency in Finnish and English, a valid B-class driving license, and IT literacy are required. You will work with SAP reporting and collaborate across departments, with thorough onboarding and ongoing development.

Is there experience in electrical work, and perhaps hydraulics or mechanics? We are looking for an opportunity to work in a global company and be part of a growing industrial sector. As a wind power technician at Vestas you will have the chance to do interesting work and develop your career in a growing organization. You will be part of the Vestas Northern & Central Europe organization, responsible for wind farm sales, projects, installation and maintenance. Our head office is in Vaasa, with several offices across Finland. We are currently seeking an electrician to join our team and take responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of wind turbines in Alajärvi.

Responsibilities

• routine maintenance and upkeep under service contracts
• inspections, repairs and component replacements
• fault finding and repairs
• operation and monitoring of remote management systems
• customer collaboration
• daily reporting with SAP

Requirements

• previous training in electrical work
• experience in hydraulics or mechanics is a plus
• fluency in Finnish and English
• IT literacy for reporting and using various software
• good physical condition and ability to work at height
• valid B-class driver’s license

Additional Information

Your work location will be Alajärvi. Travel is expected, especially during training, and occasionally to wind farms farther away. A comprehensive health check is required during the application process.
