EHS Lead: On-site Safety & Compliance

Job summary

Eaton's new campus in Vantaa, Finland, seeks an on-site EHS lead to oversee and continuously improve the integrated EHS management system. You will ensure compliance with Finnish legislation and Eaton's MESH requirements, acting as a subject matter expert within the EHS team.

You will execute the EHS strategy, drive KPIs, participate in the EHS Roadmap, and promote a proactive safety culture through engagement and CI initiatives. Strong collaboration with operators and leaders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master of Science in a relevant field or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar role within an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Fluent Finnish and English language skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and EHS reporting systems.
• Knowledge of local EHS legislation and safety standards.
• Management system knowledge (ISO 14001/ISO 45001).
• Ability to lead risk assessments and safety audits.

Responsibilities

• Execute the site's EHS strategy and maintain the MESH system.
• Support achievement of site and business EHS KPIs and objectives.
• Participate in the annual EHS Roadmap and ensure effective implementation.
• Foster a strong safety culture through engagement, coaching and CI initiatives.
• Oversee MESH requirements and dedicated programs.
• Identify and evaluate operational EHS risks; lead mitigations and investigations.
• Maintain trusted relations with stakeholders and provide data to drive decisions.
• Monitor and analyze EHS data.
