Job summary

NestAI is seeking engineers for its Edge Software team to build secure software for unmanned and command systems. You will design and implement trusted devices, services, and interfaces across the operational lifecycle.

The role focuses on embedded and mobile devices, secure deployment, fleet management, and interoperability. Collaboration with defence partners and a security‑minded culture are central to the work.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on software security or platform security engineering experience.
• Experience with device identity, access control, secure communications, or service lifecycle management.
• Experience securing system integrations, data provenance, validation, or interoperability is valuable.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language for embedded/mobile development (C++, Python, Kotlin) and experience with Linux, networking, and deployment automation.
• Experience with embedded devices, robotics, mobile apps, cloud services, or fleet management is valuable.
• Able to ship practical improvements under deadline and explain trade-offs clearly.
• Experience in defence or mission-critical systems is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Design secure identity and access methods for devices, services, operators, and connected systems.
• Define how assets are securely enrolled, deployed, updated, monitored, and retired.
• Establish secure communication, authorization, audit trails, and protection for interfaces and media services.
• Secure structured operational data as it moves between system boundaries.
• Ensure data origin, context, authority, timing, and traceability remain intact and tamper-resistant.
• Apply validation and trust rules so untrusted data cannot trigger sensitive actions.
• Review and improve protection against untrusted input, compromised devices, and misconfigured deployments.
• Build security checks, operational guidance, and incident support with partner teams.
