Job summary

NestAI is seeking a Forward Deployed Embedded Engineer in Turku to embed directly with customer teams, delivering reliable NestAI software close to the hardware. You’ll optimize C++ code, leverage AI-assisted tools, and collaborate with testing and customer stakeholders to ensure platform performance in real-world environments.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in embedded or systems development, strong C++, and comfort working near hardware. Experience in robotics or autonomous systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of embedded or systems-level software experience.
• Strong C++ proficiency; Python a plus.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
• Experience applying AI tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Team player with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Customer-facing engineering: embed with customer teams and validate platform against real requirements.
• Optimize software with memory and power tradeoffs in deployment contexts.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding.
• Iterative problem solving with testing and customer stakeholders.
• Hardware integration with sensors and microcontrollers to run reliably.
