NestAI in Tampere is seeking an Embedded Security Engineer to help design and implement secure software for unmanned and command systems. You will work on secure deployment, fleet management, and interoperability across devices, services, and interfaces.

You will apply trust rules, protect data integrity, and ship practical security improvements under deadline. The role requires hands-on coding in C++, Python, or Kotlin, Linux expertise, and experience with embedded or mobile systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software security or platform security engineering experience.
• Experience with device identity, access control, secure communications.
• Experience with embedded devices, robotics, or mobile apps.
• Proficiency in at least one language (C++, Python, Kotlin) and Linux basics.
• Ability to ship practical improvements under deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Design secure identity and access methods for devices, services, operators, and connected systems.
• Define how assets are securely enrolled, deployed, updated, monitored, and retired.
• Help establish secure communication, authorization, audit trails, and protection for sensitive interfaces and media services.
• Secure structured operational data as it moves between system boundaries.
• Ensure data origin, context, authority, timing, and traceability are preserved and cannot be silently or maliciously altered or replayed.
• Apply validation and clear trust rules so malformed or untrusted data cannot trigger sensitive actions.
• Review and improve protection against untrusted input, compromised devices, and misconfigured deployments.
• Build security checks, operational guidance, and incident support with partner teams.
