Fujitsu, via the Wayfinders practice in Finland, is seeking a Director of AI & Data Consulting to build the capability from the ground up. You will shape offerings, recruit a high-performing team, and lead complex engagements that translate AI and data initiatives into tangible business outcomes.

You will collaborate with executives across Europe, expand the client base, and contribute to Wayfinders’ broader consulting propositions and methodologies.

You will play a key role in building the AI & Data capability from the ground up. You will have significant influence over the direction of the practice, the services we offer, the people we hire and the clients we support. You'll be joining at an exciting stage of growth where entrepreneurial thinking, leadership and innovation are valued just as highly as traditional consulting expertise. At the same time, you won't be starting from zero.

Through Fujitsu, Wayfinders already has strong relationships with many of Finland's leading organisations. We are trusted advisors to CIOs and technology leaders across retail, manufacturing, public sector and financial services. Your role will be to expand those conversations, unlock new opportunities and help clients realise the value of AI and data-driven transformation.

The Opportunity

As Director, AI & Data Consulting, you will operate at the intersection of business and technology.

You will help clients understand how AI, data platforms, emerging technologies and modern architectures can transform their organisations and create sustainable competitive advantages.

Working closely with executive stakeholders, you will translate business challenges into practical transformation roadmaps and technology solutions. You will help clients move beyond experimentation and implement AI-enabled operating models that create measurable outcomes. This is a true player-coach role. In the early stages, you will combine business development, consulting leadership and hands-on delivery. As the capability grows and your team expands, your focus will naturally evolve towards commercial growth, strategic leadership and practice development. You will also work closely with colleagues across Europe and contribute to the development of Wayfinders' broader consulting propositions, methodologies and AI-enabled ways of working.

What you will be responsible for

Building and Growing the Practice

• Establish and lead the AI & Data consulting capability in Finland.
• Shape market offerings, propositions and go-to-market strategies.
• Build and develop a high-performing consulting team.
• Recruit key talent and help define the future structure of the capability.
• Contribute to the development of consulting methodologies, assets and reusable frameworks.
• Support the growth of the broader Wayfinders business across Europe.

Business Development and Market Growth

• Develop consulting opportunities within existing Fujitsu clients and new target accounts.
• Build trusted relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Lead proposal development and commercial pursuits.
• Create compelling points of view around AI and data-led transformation.
• Contribute to revenue growth and market expansion.
• Position Wayfinders as a trusted consulting partner for AI-driven transformation.

Client Advisory and Delivery Leadership

• Lead complex consulting engagements focused on AI, data and technology transformation.
• Advise clients on AI strategy, enterprise architecture, data platforms and implementation approaches.
• Translate business ambitions into practical technology roadmaps.
• Ensure delivery excellence and measurable business outcomes.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with executive stakeholders.
• Personally contribute to key client engagements and capability development.

What we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced consulting leader who combines strategic thinking, commercial credibility and a genuine passion for AI and innovation.

You Will Likely Bring

• Director-level experience within a leading consultancy, technology advisory firm or transformation practice.
• A proven track record of winning and delivering complex consulting engagements.
• Strong experience working with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience growing consulting business, creating proposals and leading commercial pursuits.
• Expertise in AI & Data Transformation, Enterprise Data Platforms, Enterprise Architecture, Technology Transformation or Digital Innovation.
• Experience developing teams and mentoring consulting professionals.
• The ability to translate business challenges into actionable technology solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English.
