Job summary

Nokia Defence is seeking a Director of Hardware Development to lead the creation and delivery of secure, mission-critical hardware for Connectivity products. You will build a high-performing hardware team and ensure successful execution of commitments to customers and programs.

You will drive architecture, testing and integration while collaborating with partners and internal teams in a hybrid working setup in Finland. English plus Finnish/Swedish language skills are required.

Qualifications

10+ years of HW development experience with high-end embedded systems.
R&D leadership in hardware for telecoms or defense sectors.
Proven capability to translate customer requirements into hardware solutions.

Responsibilities

Establish and lead a team of hardware architects, experts, and engineers.
Define and execute hardware delivery aligned with the roadmap and targets.
Serve as a senior tech leader in engagements with defense customers and partners.
Adopt best-in-class hardware engineering methods.
Build relationships with external partners to accelerate delivery.
Foster ownership, accountability and technical excellence; support career development.
