Job summary

Nokia Defense in Finland is seeking a Test Engineer to contribute to the development and validation of secure defense communication solutions. The role combines hands-on testing, field trials, and collaboration with R&D teams to advance Nokia Defense products.

You will validate system functionality, performance, coverage, mobility and interoperability while supporting troubleshooting and customer trials. Strong coding and testing automation skills are valued, with opportunities to contribute to

Qualifications

BSc./MSc. in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
Demonstrated programming or scripting skills (Python preferred).
Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and in a team.
Valid personal identification document from a NATO-member country.
Fluency to work in English and willingness to travel occasionally and work in outdoor testing environments.

Responsibilities

Execute field verification and end-to-end testing activities.
Validate system functionality, performance, coverage, mobility and interoperability.
Analyze test results, logs, measurements and KPIs.
Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis with development teams.
Participate in customer trials, demonstrations and acceptance testing.
Develop and maintain test automation and reporting solutions.
Contribute to validation of next-generation communication and autonomous systems.
Improve testing methodologies and operational readiness capabilities.
