Job summary

Nortal is seeking a skilled Solution Architect to drive digital transformation for enterprise customers. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to translate business needs into high‑value solution opportunities, manage requirements, and shape technical directions without necessarily writing code.

You’ll engage with stakeholders, own the backlog, produce architectural documentation, and work with product, data, and development experts across our global offices.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand business needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
• Solid technical understanding of software and data architectures, integrations, and AI.
• Background in software development (hands-on coding at some stage).
• Ownership mindset and ability to drive initiatives forward.
• Consultant-like, proactive, client-facing approach.
• Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

• Support customers in digital transformation across data modelling, architecture, system integrations, platform modernization, and AI-driven solutions.
• Engage in regular discussions with stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into requirements.
• Translate high-level directions into concrete guidance for development teams.
• Own and prioritize the backlog, aligning business value with feasibility.
• Produce documentation, architectural notes, diagrams and decision records.
• Work with developers to clarify technical implications, even if you don't code yourself.
• Collaborate with Nortal colleagues across development, project management, and data/architecture teams.
