Qualifications

• At least three years of database management experience.
• Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, upgrades, migration, and administration.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL Patroni, pgbouncer, HAProxy, MongoDB Replica Sets, MySQL Galera Cluster, and SQL Server Always On.
• Experience with high-availability, disaster recovery, replication, failover, and backup & recovery strategies using pgBackRest and native tools.
• Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, monitoring, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
• Strong database security skills: encryption at rest/in transit, user and role management, access controls, auditing, and hardening.
• Automation skills: Shell/Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Windows and Linux administration and database monitoring tools.
• Good communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

Job description

At Oivan, we are looking for a Saudi Database Administrator with at least three years of experience in database management activities using frameworks such as PostgreSQL Patroni, pgbouncer, HAProxy, and MongoDB. As an experienced DBA with a background in Agile Scrum methodologies, you will work directly on high-impact projects to deliver high-quality technical solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.

Location: On-site at our customer’s premises in Riyadh, KSA. Fluency in Arabic and English is required.

• Automation skills: Shell/Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Windows and Linux administration and database monitoring tools.
