Job summary

Metsä Group in Espoo, Finland, seeks a Development Manager, Data, to lead the Data team within Digital & AI, shaping our data development landscape and aligning initiatives with business and IT stakeholders. You will drive ongoing development of data platforms, data architecture and data management to enable secure, governed data for AI, analytics and data-driven solutions.

You will guide a team of data engineers and data architects, and collaborate with external partners.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building and managing enterprise data platforms.
• Hands-on knowledge of Azure Databricks and Azure data services.
• Proven leadership of data engineers and architects.
• Experience with data governance, MDM and data modelling.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration across IT/business.
• Degree: Master’s or higher in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Data team and align data initiatives with business goals.
• Drive data platform architecture, security and governance.
• Oversee data warehouse modernization and cloud migration.
• Collaborate with suppliers and IT to manage budgets and planning.
