Job summary

Metsä Group is seeking a Data Architect in Espoo, Finland, to shape and govern our data landscape. You will design scalable, secure architectures for AI, analytics and reporting across the group and ensure alignment with governance and enterprise standards.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions, supporting data ingestion, storage, processing and consumption while ensuring security and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in data architecture, data modelling and integrations across cloud environments.
• Experience with Azure, Databricks and modern data engineering practices.
• Understanding of SAP data concepts and data products.
• Knowledge of metadata management, data governance, security and data lifecycle management.
• Ability to guide multiple development teams and external partners in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern scalable, secure data architectures for analytics and AI solutions.
• Translate business needs into practical data solutions and target architectures.
• Collaborate with information architects and data engineers to deliver data platforms.
• Review solution designs and drive evolution of Metsä Group's data platform.
