Job summary

Global Commissioning are seeking a Commissioning Manager to oversee the design, installation and commissioning of critical IT infrastructure within data centre environments. The role requires leadership to direct project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors on and off-site.

You will drive the Design, Construction and Acceptance phases, draft and review commissioning documents, and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.

Qualifications

• Prince 2 or equivalent - Desirable.
• Completion of trade apprenticeship or qualifications - Essential.
• CSCS / Safe Pass / ECS / SMSTS holder - Essential.
• HNC - Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services - Essential.
• BEng (Hons) in an engineering discipline or equivalent - Desirable.

Responsibilities

• Author and review Owner's Project Requirements and Basis of Design.
• Draft the Commissioning Plan and Programme aligned with timelines.
• Lead Commissioning Agent Kick-Off Meeting and coordinate stakeholders.
• Lead Level 2–4 Commissioning Workshops and attend tests.
• Develop commissioning checklists for electrical, mechanical, monitoring and safety systems.
• Draft Level 4/5 test scripts and site observation reports.
• Coordinate weekly commissioning and client meetings.
• Maintain and update the Commissioning Tracker.

Education

Completion of trade apprenticeship or qualifications
