Job summary

DayOne is building its flagship hyperscale data center campus in Lahti, Finland. The role focuses on electrical system management, leadership of engineers and technicians, and ensuring reliable 24/7 operations in a cutting-edge data centre environment.

You will oversee power distribution, UPS, generators and switchgear, drive safety compliance, and coordinate cross-functional teams to maintain high availability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• 3–5 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in data centre or critical infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, installation, operation and maintenance of electrical systems within data centres.
• Lead and develop a team of electrical engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate with shift teams for 24/7 coverage and handovers.
• Plan preventative and corrective maintenance and manage upgrades.
• Provide technical expertise and ensure safety, compliance and documentation.
• Support strategic initiatives and budget planning for electrical systems.
