Job summary

Sodexo Oy is seeking a Cook for our care facility in Turku. You will prepare delicious and nutritious meals for residents, staff, and visitors, with a focus on quality and dietary requirements. The role supports all meals: breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner.

The position is part-time (20 hours per week), with a permanent contract. The work is at our Turku location, operating seven days a week from 7:00 to 18:00, with start date as agreed. Salary details are provided by the employer.

Qualifications

• Relevant culinary training (cook, diet cook, large-scale cook).
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary requirements.
• Knowledge of special diets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily high-quality dishes including special diet options.
• Package outgoing meals.

Job description

Cook wanted to join the Sodexo team at our care facility in Turku. You will prepare delicious and nutritious meals. Your passion for food and a warm smile create wellbeing for all. The facility serves residents of assisted living units, seniors, rehabilitants and staff, as well as external visitors. Our services include all meals and dining services. We provide breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee, dinner and evening snacks for our customers.

What your day will look like:

• You will prepare daily high-quality dishes and special diet options (breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner)
• You will package outgoing meals
• Quality control is part of your work (self-monitoring, product knowledge, tasting foods)

What we expect from you:

• Relevant culinary training (e.g. cook, diet cook, large-scale cook)
• Prior experience in preparing satisfying lunch meals
• Knowledge of special diets and experience producing meals for care meals is a plus
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and organize your tasks
• Finnish language reading and writing skills
• Food hygiene certificate
