Job summary

Vanha Kespa Junttari Oy in Kittilä seeks a cook to join our team. You will prepare and maintain a lunch buffet with traditional home-style meals, and cook rolls, hamburgers, and other meals.

You will also prepare a la carte dishes and savory display products, while handling orders and performing other duties at the unit. We offer regular full-time two-shift work, the opportunity to influence your own shifts, and a regular monthly salary.

Qualifications

• Experience with traditional prepared dishes.
• Ability to work independently and economically.
• Ability to cope under pressure (especially during busy times).
• Hygiene passport.

Job description

We have operated a traffic service station in the village of Kittilä for over 40 years. In addition to regular customers, our operations are shaped by construction crews, truck drivers, and travelers; no day is the same (food service fluctuates by about 50 portions per day). We are currently seeking a cook to join our team.

Your tasks

• preparing and maintaining a lunch buffet with traditional home-style meals
• cooking rolls/hamburgers/other meals
• preparing a la carte dishes
• preparing savory display products
• handling orders
• other duties at the unit

Requirements

• experience with traditional prepared dishes
• ability to work independently and economically
• ability to cope under pressure (especially during busy times)
• hygiene passport

Language requirement: Finnish language skills at least level B1.1.
