Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking an Automation Engineer to develop controls for multifuel engines. The role is mostly based in Turku, Finland, with Vaasa as a negotiable option and a hybrid work model available.

You will join a control functionality development team to deliver end-to-end control implementations. Requirements include an MSc in automation or related field, experience with Matlab/Simulink and C, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

M.Sc in automation engineering, process engineering or another relevant field.
Knowledge of closed loop control design.
Analytical mindset and ability to solve problems.
Open minded and eager to learn.
Excellent teamworking and communication skills.
Fluency in verbal and written English; our everyday work language is English.

Responsibilities

End-to-end implementation of new controls within a control functionality development team.
Gather requirements, model the controls, develop test cases, implement controls and document the new control.
Collaborate with developers from other engine controls teams.
Interact with other teams in the area of engine controls.
