Job summary

wpd windmanager Suomi Oy in Oulu is looking for a Controller / Junior Controller to join our team as a temporary replacement during parental leave. The role begins in early November 2026 to ensure onboarding and smooth handover of responsibilities.

You will contribute to local accounting plausibility checks, controlling operations, budgeting, liquidity, profitability analyses and reporting to banks and investors, while collaborating across Accounting, Financing, Technical and Key Accounting

Qualifications

• Completed business or finance studies or an equivalent qualification.
• Good knowledge of accounting according to Finnish GAAP.
• Very good knowledge of English and Finnish, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Plausibility check of local accounting.
• Controlling of ongoing business operations.
• Target/actual comparison and deviation analyses.
• Liquidity planning and distribution planning.
• Budget planning and profitability analyses.
• Ad hoc analyses and reporting to banks and investors.
• Reviewing tax returns.

wpd windmanager Suomi Oy is an active company in a field of technical and commercial management of wind farms. Our customers include wind farm operators, municipal utilities, public funds and institutional investors. Our office is located in Oulu.

Our mother company is German based wpd windmanager GmbH & Co. KG. With 600 national and international employees wpd windmanger group is responsible for the management of 525 wind farms and 360 megawatt solar in Europe, South America and Asia.

We are looking for a controller / junior controller to join our team as a temporary replacement during parental leave.

The position will begin in early November 2026 to ensure adequate onboarding and to transfer responsibilities to the replacement before the parental leave begins.

• Plausibility check of local accounting

• Deviation analyses

• Reviewing tax returns

• Successfully completed business or finance studies or a comparable qualification
• Good knowledge of accounting according to Finnish GAAP
• Very good knowledge of English and Finnish, both written and spoken
• Ideally professional experience as controller
• Very good knowledge of MS-Office, especially MS Excel

• High affinity for numbers as well as analytical thinking skills
