Job summary

Groupe VALOREM is seeking an experienced Construction Project Engineer to join our Helsinki team. You will oversee the construction management of renewable energy projects, ensuring quality, safety, budgets, and schedules are met while coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

The role requires a civil/electrical/mechanical engineering degree, at least five years’ experience in large-scale construction projects, strong project management skills (MS Project preferred), and the ability to lead

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience as Construction Project Engineer in energy sectors.

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER (ref : ORM26-18)

Job details:

We are hiring an experienced Construction Project Engineer to join our growing team in Helsinki, Finland. The Construction Project Engineer ensures the construction management of renewable energy projects and is directly responsible for executing projects with a deep commitment to ensuring quality standards, safety, environmental commitments, budgets and schedules.

Responsabilities :

• In close collaboration with the team, the Construction Project Engineer takes into account the issues and constraints and ensures the technical and organizational feasibility of the project. She/He establishes the budgets and objectives of the project.
• Guaranties the implementation and respect of safety rules during all stages of the project
• Manages relations with clients and all parties involved in the project.
• Determines and deploys the resources necessary for the proper execution of the project in all it's aspects, and ensures their selection, management, assignment and availability.
• Identifies the different phases and additional studies necessary to carry out the project in collaboration with internal and external ressources.
• For the interventions of external resources, draws up the specifications, carries out the consultations of service providers and subcontractors, evaluates the proposals and validates its choice according to procedure in force.
• As a project manager, structures, organizes and implements the project management tools: planning, budget management, project dashboard. In close collaboration with the site supervisor and, if there is, the logistics manager, ensures the proper progress of the project in terms of technical, environmental, regulatory and safety aspects.
• Ensures the contractual and regulatory compliance of the studies, the works, the quality plans and the documentation produced.

Required Skills:

• Holder of an engineering degree (civil, electrical, mechanical…) or other applicable university qualification
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Construction Project Engineer managing construction projects (renewable energy industry, nuclear power, fossil power plan, etc…) with a large scope of responsibility (electrical, GC, mechanical…).
• Technical business knowledge (electricity, renewable energies, infrastructure - civil engineering, road works, telecommunications, etc.)
• Understanding of the data of a construction project whatever the type and the context.
• Strong knowledge of project management (PMP certification will be a plus) and of the use of MS Project
• Feasibility and risk analyze
• Cross-functional / technical management of a project team
