Job summary

Swedium Global Services AB seeks a Component Engineer onsite in Finland. You will take ownership of component-related activities and work closely with product development, sourcing, quality and manufacturing teams in a global environment.

This role offers long-term lifecycle management experience and opportunities to impact electronics design across multiple projects. A degree in electronics and at least two years of hands-on component engineering experience are preferred.

We are looking for a Component Engineer. In this role, you will take ownership of component-related activities, working closely with product development, sourcing, quality, and manufacturing teams in a global environment.

What we are looking for

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electronics Designer, Component Engineer, or in a similar role
• Strong technical understanding of one or more of the following areas:
• Digital components (microprocessors, FPGAs, memories)
• Analog components (A/D converters, amplifiers, switches)
• Discrete components (transistors, diodes, resistors, capacitors)
• Electromechanical components (connectors, cables, cooling solutions)
• Transformers and magnetic components
• Optical components
• Display and touchscreen technologies

Preferred qualifications

• Understanding of component quality, reliability, and lifecycle management
• Knowledge of electronic design tools and development processes
• Experience in mechanical engineering or product mechanics
• Familiarity with PCB and PCBA manufacturing technologies
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and PCB layouts
• Knowledge of IPC standards and related industry standards
• Understanding of IEC, ANSI, EMC, environmental requirements, and UL approval processes
• Familiarity with RoHS, REACH, and other material compliance regulations
• Experience with PLM systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
