Role: Embedded SW Engineer

The Embedded SW Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and verification of embedded software for control and protection systems used in power electronics applications.The role focuses on ensuring that software designs meet the rigorous reliability, safety, and performance requirements of grid stability applications.

The selected candidate is expected to handle the embedded software development lifecycle from requirement analysis through implementation, integration, and testing (including hardware -in-the - loop validation).The role requires close cooperation with hardware, FPGA , SW architect , and testing to ensure high - quality integration of software components into larger control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing embedded C/C++ software for real -time control systems .
• Developing and maintaining software requirement specifications and architecture documents.
• Performing unit testing, code reviews, and static analysis to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Leading implementation of specific software features in line with project objectives.
• Ensuring requirements traceability for software components in JIRA.
• Analysing and debugging complex runtime, timing, or integration issues in laboratory environments.
• Supporting system -level validation and HIL testing activities.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.
• Ensuring all development is carried out in accordance with internal quality standards and

safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Relevant higher education degree (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) in electronics, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Mid -senior to senior level experience in embedded software development .
• Proven experience in C/C++ programming for embedded/real -time systems.
• Experience with real -time operating systems ( such as VxWorks ).
• Experience with embedded development tools, debuggers.
• Understanding of hardware -software interfaces and FPGA/microcontroller - based architectures.
• Experience with communication protocols like IEC6185 0, DNP3 is a plus.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and defect tracking tools (JIRA).
• Strong analytical and problem -solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an international and matrix organization .
• Professional working proficiency in English.
