Brown & Brown Canada is seeking a Commercial Technical Service Assistant (Property Casualty Client Assistant) to join our Markham, Ontario team. The role covers the day-to-day administration for a book of business, policy processing, renewals, and file maintenance.

You will support client relationships, assist in renewals, and ensure adherence to brokerage guidelines, while participating in training and ongoing professional development to remain licensed and informed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in the insurance industry or a related field.
• Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day administrative tasks for a book of business: reviewing policies, billing notices, processing policies/endorsements, invoicing, issuing certificates of insurance and auto ID cards.
• Build courteous relationships with team, vendors, and carriers to improve client retention.
• Assist in renewals: gather renewal information, document renewal applications, prepare marketing materials and binders.
• Record renewal, sales, and insurance operations documents in the agency management system.
• Follow brokerage guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Promote teamwork and a positive attitude; participate in training and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
