Job summary

Metso Corporation seeks a Mechanical Engineer to strengthen our Delivery Engineering team in Espoo, Finland. The role offers a pathway to Chief Engineer within a couple of years as you lead mechanical tasks on customer projects.

You will collaborate across internal and external teams, contribute to manufacturing and construction documents, and help manage cost, quality and schedules while supporting site activities and technology development.

Qualifications

• Strong delivery engineering experience, preferably in process industry.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Good cooperation, team leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Clear understanding how to implement products into projects.
• Solid understanding of Machine Safety.
• Project-oriented working methods.
• Capable of independent, proactive work.
• Proficient use of engineering tools: 2D/3D CAD, EDM & PLM.
• English communication is essential; Finnish skills are a strong asset.
• Occasional travel to customer sites globally.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Mechanical Engineer in Customer projects and generate technical documents.
• Collaborate with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders.
• Contribute to sales, procurement and technology development projects and support site activities.
• Develop working processes and practices with internal stakeholders.
• Lead and manage Mechanical Engineering tasks in projects while contributing at detailed level (Chief Engineer).
• Be responsible for project technical documents for manufacturing and construction.
• Own cost, quality and schedule aspects of the engineering portion of projects.
• Oversee project delivery while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
