Miilu Bar & Grill in Ylläs, Lapland, opened in December 2024 and features an open-fire kitchen with pure northern ingredients. We are seeking passionate kitchen professionals to join our team for the autumn and winter seasons.

You will have the opportunity to influence the menu, work with a strong, visionary team, and contribute to operations. Accommodation is available if needed. Work begins in September with flexible start dates; contract details will be discussed with suitable candidates.

Job description

Step into the culinary wonder of Lapland! We are looking for passionate professionals to join us in Ylläs, where our restaurant opened in December 2024 combines the art of open-fire grilling, pure northern ingredients, and uncompromising quality. We are part of Miilu Resort, located on the shores of Lake Ylläsjärvi, serving guests seven days a week during peak season from morning until evening.

Miilu Bar & Grill was voted 66th among Finnish restaurants by professionals in 2026.

We are looking for team members who have:

• Previous kitchen experience (more required for Head Chef role)
• Interest in open-fire cooking or a willingness to learn
• Professionalism, attention to detail, and a passion for the craft
• The ability to stay calm and positive under pressure
• For Head Chef: team leadership skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capability to help build the kitchen operation from the ground up
• Drivers license (preferred but not mandatory)

Work begins with the autumn season in September and continues through the winter season from December to May. The exact duration and start date of the contract can be flexibly agreed upon based on the applicant's situation.
