Job summary

Aalto University is seeking a SPACE TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS DEVELOPER to join a team of research experts from the School of Electrical Engineering. The role is designed to create a sustainable business from deep tech research in space technology, with a strong emphasis on commercialization and partnerships.

You will actively identify partners, negotiate terms, and map out go-to-market plans for the project’s services and products.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English is required.
• Experience and proven track record in business development, commercialization and entrepreneurship.
• Experience in space technology or exposure to it is required.
• Ability to work with people from different backgrounds.
• Excellent teamwork, negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify partners for the project and negotiate with them.

Aalto University is now looking for a SPACE TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS DEVELOPER to join a team of research experts from the School of Electrical Engineering.

What you’ll do

• You’ll actively identify partners for the project and negotiate with them.
• You also investigate and prepare commercialization paths to meet the potential clients’ demands.
• An important task is to make a go-to market plan for the services and products of the project and map out different commercialization options e.g. start-up establishment.

You will be employed by Aalto University for the duration of the project. This job is intended to last 7 months, starting 1st of November, 2026. The position is full-time.
