Job summary

Ponsse is seeking an experienced Business Controller to join the Group Business Finance team in Finland. You will partner with global functions, steer budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning, and translate data into actionable insights for leadership.

You will lead financial analysis, develop models in Anaplan and reporting in Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and transparent management reporting while collaborating across countries in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• A suitable university degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in business controlling or finance partnering.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Fluent Finnish and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Act as the finance business partner for designated functions and management teams.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for the supported functions.

In this role, you will be a trusted finance business partner for our global functions, supporting their management teams in financial planning, performance analysis, decision-making, and business development. You will combine strong business controlling expertise with a solid understanding of data, reporting solutions, and financial planning systems. **What you will do*** Act as the finance business partner for designated functions and work closely with their management teams.* Support business leaders in financial decision-making by providing relevant analysis, insights, and recommendations.* Lead and coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for the supported functions.* Act as a key user for Anaplan, business planning and performance management platform, supporting its effective use and continuous development.* Monitor and analyze financial performance, costs, investments, headcount, projects, and key performance indicators.* Develop financial models, reporting solutions, and planning processes using Anaplan and Power BI.* Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and transparency of financial and operational data used in management reporting.* Work closely with business stakeholders to improve data quality, reporting processes, and performance management.* Participate in the continuous development of Group Business Finance processes, tools, and ways of working. **What we are looking for*** A suitable university degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or a related field.* Relevant experience in business controlling, finance business partnering, or a comparable role.* Strong understanding of financial planning, management reporting, performance analysis, and cost controlling.* A strong data-oriented mindset and the ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear business insights.* Experience working in a global matrix organization and a good understanding of matrix ways of working.* Practical experience with Power BI. Previous experience with Anaplan is considered an advantage.* Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial models and large datasets.* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, combined with attention to detail.* Good communication and stakeholder management skills.* Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English.* Experience in supporting project-based functions is considered an advantage.**As a person**You are proactive, analytical, and business-oriented.
