Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking a BIM Coordinator to lead the management and standardisation of BIM data across projects. The role involves coordinating disciplines, resolving clashes, and training teams on BIM processes to ensure efficient, high‑quality project delivery.

Hybrid work is available, with preferred locations including Vaasa, Finland, Helsinki or Turku. A university degree and 3+ years in BIM coordination are expected, along with strong English communication.

Qualifications

• University-level education required.
• 3+ years of work experience in a similar BIM coordination role.
• Experience with Forma / Autodesk Construction Cloud and other Autodesk products is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in Navisworks and Revit or other BIM software.

Responsibilities

• Model and data management for BIM models and data.
• Standardisation of BIM standards and protocols; develop and implement BIM protocols.
• Train internal teams and external stakeholders on BIM processes.
• Identify and resolve issues related to model coordination and clashes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and ensure alignment of models.
• Coordinate architecture, structure, mechanical, electrical and process models to avoid conflicts.
• Utilise BIM for 3D coordination and design reviews.
• Foster collaboration with engineering partners and deliveries.
• Facilitate clear communication among stakeholders.
