Job summary

Wärtsilä Corporation is seeking a BIM Coordinator to prepare and maintain BIM data specifications for suppliers and support customer projects by implementing BIM requirements. The role supports hybrid work in Vaasa, Finland, with potential locations in Helsinki or Turku.

You will manage BIM models, ensure standards, train stakeholders, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to avoid clashes and improve project outcomes.

Qualifications

• University-level education.
• 3+ years’ work experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Forma / Autodesk Construction Cloud and other Autodesk products is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Navisworks and Revit or other BIM software is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and a solution-driven mindset.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Self-driven attitude and motivation to learn and grow professionally.
• Good communication, negotiation and teamwork skills.
• Ability to understand and work with diverse cultures.

Responsibilities

• Model and Data Management: Creating, organizing, and maintaining BIM models and data.
• Standardisation: Adhering to BIM standards and developing BIM protocols.
• Training: Educating team and external stakeholders in BIM tasks.
• Problem Resolution: Identifying and resolving model coordination issues.
• Coordination: Overseeing collaboration among project teams and disciplines.
• Multidisciplinary Coordination: Integrating models across disciplines to reduce errors.
• 3D Coordination & Design Review: Using BIM for design review and visualization.
