Job summary

3stepIT in Helsinki seeks a Head of Data & Analytics to shape how data drives performance and decisions across the group. You will lead global data capabilities, governance, reporting, automation, and AI initiatives while fostering a data-driven culture with stakeholders across markets.

The role requires extensive experience in data strategy, leadership, and international collaboration, and offers a chance to influence technology and sustainability-driven outcomes within a global circle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data and analytics, including data strategy implementation and delivering measurable business value from data.
• Experience in international multi-country environments and cross-functional collaboration across markets and functions.
• Proven leadership in building and guiding teams through complex data initiatives and transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data architecture, AI, BI, and modern analytics tools (Power BI, Qlik).
• Ability to prioritise and execute data initiatives while balancing strategy with hands-on delivery.
• Experience coaching analysts and stakeholders to develop data-driven capabilities across an organization.
• Fluent in English; Finnish language skills are a plus.

Job role and purpose:

As Head of Data & Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how 3stepIT leverages data to drive business performance and decision-making. You will lead the development of our global data capabilities, governance, reporting, automation, and AI initiatives, while fostering a data-driven culture across the Group and supporting business decisions across all markets. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will turn data into actionable insights and help transform vision into measurable business value.

Main responsibilities & tasks:

• Lead and develop the company's Data & Analytics function, driving a unified approach to data, analytics, governance, and business intelligence.
• Execute the data strategy and lead data initiatives across the organisation, from targeted use cases to cross-functional transformation projects.
• Own the data roadmap and backlog, prioritising initiatives and ensuring the successful delivery of data and reporting solutions.
• Establish and maintain data governance, ownership models, and best practices to maximise the value of company data.
• Partner with IT to develop scalable data architecture, optimise data processes, and implement user-friendly analytics and reporting tools.
• Lead and coach data professionals and business stakeholders, fostering a strong data-driven culture across the organisation.
• Deliver insights, reporting, and performance analytics that support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Drive AI adoption in data team and contribute to the development and execution of the company's AI strategy.

Qualifications and experience:

• Degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Information Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data and analytics, including data strategy implementation and delivering measurable business value from data.
• Experience working in an international and multi-country environment, collaborating with stakeholders across different markets, cultures, and business functions.
• Proven leadership experience in leading teams and driving complex cross-functional initiatives and transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data architecture, AI, BI, and modern analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Qlik).
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and execute data initiatives, balancing strategic vision with hands‑on delivery.
• Experience coaching and developing analysts and business stakeholders to build data‑driven capabilities across an organisation.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Fluent in English; Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.
