Job summary

Finnair is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Intelligent Operations team. You will develop predictive models and optimization solutions to support operational decision-making across Finnair, applying time-series, multivariate modelling, and anomaly detection to complex data.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, CS, engineering or OR.
• 3-5 years of experience in data science or related analytical roles.
• Strong foundation in statistics and machine learning; predictive modeling experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders and Digital teams to translate challenges into predictive models and optimization solutions.
• Design, develop, validate, and deploy predictive and optimization models for planning, maintenance and decision-making.
• Apply statistical and ML techniques including feature engineering and anomaly detection to complex data to produce reliable predictions.
• Build scalable, production-ready data science solutions with clean, tested code and CI/CD practices.
• Contribute to MLOps, including model deployment, monitoring and governance.
• Ensure data quality, model validation, and responsible use of AI.
• Communicate findings and risks to technical and business stakeholders and improve practices.
